Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas V SD Swasta PAB 22 Patumbak

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Discovery learning model on the social studies learning outcomes of fifth-grade students. The research used a quantitative method with an experimental design. The sample consisted of 40 students divided into two groups: an experimental group using the Discovery learning model and a control group using the Direct Instruction model. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests and analyzed using a t-test to determine the significant differences between the two groups. The results showed that there was a significant difference in social studies learning outcomes between the group taught with the Discovery learning model and the group taught with Direct Instruction. The average learning outcomes of students taught with the Discovery learning model were higher than those of the control group. In conclusion, the Discovery learning model is effective in improving students' social studies learning outcomes. Therefore, implementing this model is recommended to enhance the quality of social studies education in elementary schools
